Singapore Nov petrochemical exports surge 66%, NODX up 24%
Singapore’s petrochemical exports rose by 66% year on year to Singapore dollar (S$) 1.59bn in November, supporting the overall non-oil domestic exports (NODX), official data showed on Friday.
The country’s NODX rose by 24.2% year on year to S$16.8bn in November, Enterprise Singapore data showed.
NODX to the top markets as a whole rose in November 2021, though NODX to Thailand declined.
Non-electronic NODX, which includes petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, rose by 22.7% year on year to S$12.6bn in November.
Non-electronic NODX to the biggest country in Asia rose by 53.1% year on year in November, while those to South Korea were up by 31.5%.
